Chris Langhsans

Chris Langhans brings over 20 years of heartfelt experience as a freelance musician to the Puʻuloa ʻohana. After earning his Master’s degree in double bass performance, he has shared the stage with the Boston Pops, the Hartford Symphony, Bang On A Can Allstars, and performed on Broadway. His recording work includes collaborations with Richmond’s own No BS! Brass, and he even appeared as the fictional principal bassist in the Golden Globe-winning series Mozart in the Jungle.

Chris has always welcomed the chance to explore new musical worlds. He is truly honored and excited to play alongside authentic musicians who carry forward their cultural traditions. We are so grateful to have his warm, steady bass supporting the Hawaiian sound of Puʻuloa.
