Kanikapila is a traditional Hawaiian gathering for informal music jams. In Richmond, Virginia, Pu'uloa hosts these free sessions to share Aloha—bring your 'Ukulele, Steel Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Bass, or just come to Sing and dance Hula. No experience needed; just bring your instrument and enthusiasm!

New to Hawaiian jams? Start with simple songs, come prepared knowing a few songs in the Hawaiian music repertoire. We provide sheet music on a very large projector. Arrive early to tune up—events fill up fast in Virginia's music scene!
